Open Minds is a charity, not-for-profit, set up in Rotherham in 2003 by Kat Fletcher and Steve Rogers.  It has grown over the years to become a huge arts organisation that has been behind events and projects including: the largest regional schools Shakespeare festival of its kind in the world; the Kashmir Trilogy of plays; Colourscape festivals; The Old Market Gallery; Rotherham African Drummers; and Rotherham Carnival (Carnival Presents: The People’s Parade).  Open Minds is also well known in our schools through a number of projects, including our highly successful cross-curricular Challenge Framework.  We have worked locally, regionally, nationally and even internationally.

In February 2018, Open Minds was proud to open its theatre venue and the first cinema in Rotherham for 30 years : Rotherham Underground.

Some of our previous projects have grown so much over the years that they have become well known as organisations in themselves.  Click on the icon to be transported to the websites of organisations in the Open Minds family…
